Had the pleasure and privilege tonight of attending the opening of Jackie Fitzgerald's Expecting at Common Ground. With 10,000 plastic babies glued onto everything from Oriental shadow box art to a pack of Lucky Strikes (including a hand gun), the show was, in a word, relentless. The turnout was great, the food was outstanding and the music, complete with maternal heartbeat machines, was tripped out. Expecting runs until July 25.
